QIMA, a leading provider of Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance services, announces its acquisition of CCLab, the only Common Criteria-accredited testing laboratory in Hungary. The strategic partnership underscores QIMA’s commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of global supply chains while expanding its presence in the ever-growing cybersecurity industry.
As international supply networks face increasingly complex cyber threats, cybersecurity is now widely regarded as a key environmental, social and governance (ESG) concern. The acquisition of CCLab further strengthens QIMA’s comprehensive global ESG solutions.
QIMA serves an extensive global client base of consumer electronics and IoT device manufacturers, all with a growing need for cybersecurity compliance assessment, training and consulting expertise.
“Bringing on board the capabilities and knowledge of CCLab is a tremendous opportunity for QIMA to expand our cybersecurity footprint and develop solutions to safeguard our clients’ products and end users,” said Sebastien Breteau, founder and CEO of QIMA.“This collaboration greatly aligns with our mission to assist clients in making products consumers can trust.”
CCLab Ltd. is the first Central European and only Hungarian-accredited Common Criteria testing laboratory under the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA). The internationally recognized standard provides a framework for cybersecurity evaluations of various IT products’ security capabilities and assurance levels.
“QIMA and CCLab share very similar corporate cultures and values. Joining QIMA allows CCLab to expand our commercial and operational reach and accelerate our growth,” said Ferenc Molnár, the founder and CEO of CCLab.
The combined forces of the two companies offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ solution for the consumer electronics industry, with cybersecurity services completing QIMA’s existing compliance testing, quality inspections, certification and CSR audit solutions.
