The Vanish Pro Tee marks the debut of Neolast, a high-performing fibre that Under Armour said promises durability, stretch, and breathability while addressing sustainability challenges associated with traditional elastane.

Scheduled for release on 13 May exclusively on the Under Armour website, the brand's Neolast fibre innovation aims to support its goal to eliminate spandex in its products by 75% by 2030.

"We took a minimalist approach to the design, eliminating distractions and allowing the Neolast material to truly shine," said John Hardy III, senior director of product at Under Armour. "We’re proud to have developed the first apparel with this innovation and are excited about bringing more performance garments that utilise the future of stretch to athletes everywhere.”

The Vanish Pro Neolast tees pay homage to its roots by inverting the brand's original  1996 compression tee colour scheme, featuring a black base with a white logo.

Kyle Blakely, senior vice president of innovation, development & testing at Under Armour, emphasised the brand's commitment to sustainable progress by adding: “The Vanish Pro is a highly durable, performance stretch tee made without elastane or solvents - and it’s just the beginning of Neolast’s potential.”

Under Armour unveiled Neolast for performance stretch fabrics after collaborating with speciality materials and chemicals company Celanese Corporation back in January.

Former Under Armour CEO Colin Browne told Just Style on 2 May of his plans to use his extensive network from working within various aspects of the fashion supply chain to drive collective action at scale in his new CEO role at Cascale.
