The Grower Partners taking part in this initiative are:

  1. Amiha Agro, a promoter of sustainable farming products.
  2. Delight Group produces and sources organic and sustainable raw, processed ingredients around the world.
  3. Basil Commodities is a cotton ginning, trading and raw cotton export company that contributes to the sustainable development of the Cotton industry.
  4. OM Organic specialises in cotton manufacturing.

Each company has committed to a multi-year partnership with Sourcery, focusing on improving commercial and environmental practices across their cotton operations through Sourcery's Direct-to-Grower Programme.

Through collaboration with these partners and farm-level support for over 10,000 growers, Sourcery expects around 10,000 metric tons (equal to 60,600 Indian cotton bales) of cotton to be available for purchase in the upcoming season. This cotton will come with verified grower data, including information on farms, practices, transactions, and traceability.

Crispin Argento, managing director of Sourcery, praised the organisations and said: "Through Direct-to-Grower, they are redefining what sustainability means when it comes to quality, integrity, transparency, and social and environmental impact in cotton.”

Sourcery will facilitate the distribution of this fibre to spinners, fabric mills, assembly plants, and retailers worldwide, with a focus on transparency, fairness, and efficiency.

Ruchita Chhabra, grower engagement director of Sourcery, further added: "We are inclusive of all growers, everywhere. Many of these growers are already growing preferred fibre under organic, regenerative and Better Cotton agronomy…They deserve recognition for their commitment to excellence."

Sourcery is also launching its Provisional Partner Programme to support these Growers Partners and the growers behind them by inviting up to 10 spinners to join without an upfront financial commitment.

The programme allows them to experience the benefits of transparent trade and showcase their commitment to positive change.

Sourcery plans to expand its Direct-to-Grower programme and launch the Sourcery Connect app to the public, furthering its goal of becoming a digital trade platform for the global cotton industry.

India-based textile company, Omax Cotspin, recently joined Sourcery's Direct-to-Grower Programme towards the end of August.
