One of the top posts on X from this week was from the Uzbek Forum for Human Rights after non-profit initiative Better Cotton suspended cotton producer Indorama Agro based on a complaint it had received raising concerns over human rights violations.
The complaint is understood to have followed “multiple reports from Uzbek Forum and local communities of violations across Indorama Agro’s operations in Syrdarya and Kashkadarya”.
A spokesperson at Better Cotton confirmed to Just Style the producer’s license had been suspended.
