Inditex's Bershka brand plans to leverage 3DLook's virtual fitting room YourFit to provide highly accurate size and fit recommendations and offer website customers a virtual try-on experience.
It is hoped the collaboration will reduce return rates for the brand and boost conversions and sales by eliminating the sizing guesswork online shoppers face, while offering an interactive shopping experience to young tech-savvy consumers.
3DLook's technology features a “see how it fits me” widget which is voice-guided in real-time through a "quick and easy" camera-based flow. Once it has a front and side photo of the customer, the solution’s 3D mapping technology and size recommendation engine offers instant feedback on what size would fit best and provide an accurate and photorealistic virtual try-on experience.
Bershka’s ecommerce department explained: "We selected 3DLook due to its track record of delivering results for leading fashion brands, and given the team’s willingness to go above and beyond to assist us during the setup we’re confident this partnership will help us to achieve our goals,”
3DLook's co-founder and chief commercial officer Whitney Cathcart added: “The fashion industry is undergoing rapid transformation, with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency — and it is up to the industry giants to lead by example. Our virtual fitting room technology has the power to revolutionise the online shopping experience and contribute to the development of a greener, more sustainable, and efficient fashion industry by reducing the number of size-related returns and appeal to a younger camera-driven digital generation, and we are thrilled to embark on this journey with Bershka and anticipate its future expansion.”

The highest number of patent publications were made in 2021 with 71,856, which is not surprising given many fashion brands were battling against store closures due to Covid lockdowns so online clothes shopping was the only option.
In April 2023 the total number of virtual fitting apparel patent publications sat at 69,069.
