By aligning with the UNGC, Sae-A-Trading reaffirms its pledge to uphold the Ten Principles encompassing human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.
"At Sae-A Trading, we view sustainability as not merely a choice, but an imperative," remarked Saila Kim, EVP of the corporate strategy and management department.

"Joining the United Nations Global Compact signifies our steadfast commitment to integrating responsible practices into every facet of our operations. We are dedicated to driving positive change, both within our organisation and throughout the broader garment manufacturing industry."

The company notes that in joining the UNGC, Sae-A Trading joins a distinguished network of businesses, NGOs, and governmental entities united in pursuit of a more equitable and sustainable future. Through collaborative initiatives and collective action, the company aims to amplify its impact, effecting meaningful change across supply chains and communities worldwide.

Sae-A Trading remains resolute in its mission to uphold the highest standards of corporate citizenship, recognising the interconnectedness of economic, social, and environmental factors. By embracing the principles of the UNGC, the company underscores its commitment to ethical conduct, environmental stewardship, and the promotion of human rights.

The company also joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) last December to accelerate its practical Net-Zero transition. Through this initiative, Sae-A Trading aims to reduce its direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1+Scope 2) by 42% by 2030, and it also aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its global partners and supply chains (Scope 3) by 25% by the same year.
