IFCO, which is taking place at the Istanbul Expo Centre, anticipates over 30,000 visitors with “high-calibre” visitors from the US and the UK having already confirmed their participation.
The event is set to include a comprehensive seminar and workshop programme featuring industry leaders from WGSN and Academia della Moda. Attendees can expect insights on the advantages of fashion's digital transformation, why less fast fashion and more ethical fashion is the way forward and 2025 trend forecasts.
For the first time, IFCO has also announced collaborations with eight institutes from the Universities of Fine Arts to present creative projects by young talents at Mimar Sinan University, Marmara University, Topkapi University, Yeditepe University, amongst others.
IFCO will showcase an extensive range of product groups across eight halls, including womenswear, menswear, baby, kidswear, denim, activewear, underwear & hosiery, occasionwear, bridalwear, leather and fur, and shoes.
As the third-largest supplier of clothing and textiles to the EU, IFCO explained the show gives Türkiye the opportunity to share its so-called "clear competitive advantages" with visitors such as short delivery times, high production quality, customisation, and a high level of quality.
The designer area of the show titled Core Istanbul will showcase a mix of established and up-and-coming designers.
In the Brand Hall retail brands such as Armine, B&G Store and Giotelli will present their latest collections and the FashionIst section will provide a cross-section of occasion and bridal fashion brands.
Designed by the fashion academy IMA, the Trend Area at IFCO 2024 is a space that aims to reflect the pulse of the fashion industry. The theme RESILIENCE AW 2024, will explore the “psychology of design,” showcasing a deep understanding of current fashion trends.
The Fashion Designers' Association MTD, a major collaborator of the fair, plays a key role in supporting emerging fashion designers and contributing to the development of the Turkish fashion industry.
IFCO 2024's organisers stated it promises not only to be a venue for fashion enthusiasts but also a place to set new standards in terms of “style, creativity, and innovation”.
