Karlen and Strumpf's appointments is said to signify a “crucial milestone” in Haelixa’s mission to become a global benchmark in physical traceability. The company aims to leverage the collective expertise of its strengthened leadership team to drive innovation and address challenges related to supply chain transparency.
Patrick Strumpf will bring over two decades of expertise in building and scaling businesses to the CEO role at Haelixa,
Strumpf has previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, and retail and Haelixa believes his “proven leadership, commercial acumen, and strong customer focus” will help him to drive the company to new heights of success.
Strumpf said: “I am excited about the Haelixa traceability solution. It sets the highest standards and delivers outstanding advantages to brands and manufacturers who position themselves as innovation leaders, especially regarding compliance and credibility issues.”
The company also welcomed Stefan Karlen to its board of directors, an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience.
Karlen served as the group CEO of freight forwarding and logistics company Panalpina.
Haelixa said it has confidence in his extensive understanding of global supply chains and his track record of building formidable teams.
Karlen shared he is passionate about environmental responsibility and positive change, which aligns with Haelixa's values. He added: "I am excited to leverage my skills in a company that prioritises sustainability and integrity."
Haelixa’s co-founder and CTO Dr. Gediminas Mikutis noted that both Strumpf and Karlen’s extensive knowledge will propel Haelixa to new heights. He said: “We are confident their skills and guidance will help us and our customers achieve our mission of providing transparent and sustainable solutions.”
In November Haelixa partnered with technology company Oerlikon on a comprehensive product traceability system to address the requirements laid out by the European Green Deal.
