The GoBlu and Centrocot partnership combines the specialised testing, verification, certification, and training services provided by Centrocot with the digital platform, known as the BHive, developed by GoBlu.

In an attempt to advance chemical transparency and sustainability, the collaboration provides stakeholders in Italy with a diverse array of resources designed to facilitate the adoption and management of more sustainable chemical products.

Grazia Cerini, CEO and general manager of Centrocot says: “The partnership with GoBlu is an important step for the benefit of our customers, who will be able to see and manage their Centrocot verified chemical products in the BHive platform.

“We will provide a comprehensive service portfolio in which our hands-on chemical expertise will be matched with GoBlu’s background in IT innovation and chemical management.”

GoBlu managing director Lars Doemer adds: “We envision The BHive to become one of the leading chemical management solutions for Italian stakeholders in the textile and fashion industry.

"With Centrocot’s great expertise, testing and certification services we are now able to provide our Italian customers local support and access to a wide range of resources to achieve full transparency in their supply chain.”

Both GoBlu and Centrocot have partnerships with Oeko-Tex, which certifies non-hazardous end-products and all of their components.

Centrocot is said to be one of only 17 institutes worldwide authorised to issue Oeko-Tex Standard 100, STeP, Made in Green, Eco Passport, Leather Standard, Organic Cotton, and Responsible Business certifications and labels.

GoBlu says it has established a strong partnership with Oeko-Tex, leading to several accomplishments in recent years, including the integration of the BHive into Oeko-Tex STeP Certification.

Jeanologia, a supplier of sustainable garment finishing processes, and GoBlu joined forces in June to introduce a verification programme for the Environmental Impact Measuring (EIM) Scores.

In April, GoBlu and software solutions company BluWin announced a strategic partnership aimed at encouraging the use of more sustainable chemical products in the fashion and textile industry.
