Fashion Revolution is marking its 10th anniversary with what it claims to be the "world's largest fashion activism movement" by urging the fashion sector and its consumers to take part in events across 75 countries from 15 to 24 April.

The organisation hopes to inspire and guide the next generation of 'Fashion Revolutionaries' by exploring the apparel industry's role in driving social and environmental justice.

In a statement Fashion Revolution said: "Everyone has a part to play in building a fashion industry that puts people and planet first, but getting started can seem daunting."

It is inviting global citizens, including students, fashion brands, fashion producers and anyone interested in transforming the fashion industry to join its events.

The organisation's Mend in Public Day on 20 April that is taking place across the UK, Hungary and Australia aims to spark conversations about repair.

The organisation will also be hosting a series of offline and online events that will feature panel discussions and education around the benefits of clothing swaps and upcycling.

In December 2023 Fashion Revolution made a set of demands directed at major fashion brands and policymakers at COP28, calling for decisive action and a just transition to decarbonisation.

In July 2023, Fashion Revolution's Fashion Transparency Index found that almost nine out of ten fashion brands did not disclose annual production volumes and 99% had not committed to reducing the number of new items they produced, despite proposed EU legislation to charge brands for fashion waste.
