Boohoo Brands is launching on 31 August with 150 brands as Boohoo shares it aims to be a "one-stop" destination for all fashion, beauty, and lifestyle needs.
Customers will have access to an array of UK brands ranging from beauty to accessories, including Revolution Beauty, L’Oréal Paris, Garnier, Ray-Ban, Marc Jacobs, and Michael Kors.
Boohoo explained the new marketplace allows it to leverage its vast network and technological prowess to quickly onboard new brands and maintain robust relationships with existing partners.
By integrating these diverse brands, Boohoo aims to cater to the evolving demands of modern consumers, providing a seamless shopping experience that combines variety and quality.
James Blacklock, Boohoo's chief product officer, commented: "We are incredibly excited to introduce boohoo brands, our new marketplace offering that brings together a great selection of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products. This initiative reflects our commitment to providing our customers with diverse and high-quality options, all in one convenient place. By partnering with some of the most complimentary brands, we’re enhancing the shopping experience and ensuring that boohoo remains a leading destination for UK consumers."
The launch of the marketplace follows Boohoo's acquisition of Debenhams earlier this year, which it described as a "strategic move" to capture incremental growth opportunities amid the accelerating shift to online retail.
Boohoo anticipates that using the Mirakl Marketplace Platform, which successfully powered the Debenhams marketplace, will enable a swift and efficient integration of new brands. It highlighted that approximately 200 suppliers are already onboarded, with more joining weekly.
Earlier in July, Boohoo Group appointed Sophie Rycroft as its new group director of responsible sourcing.
