Alchemie’s Endeavour digital dyeing production process boasts an 85% reduction in carbon footprint, eliminates 95% of wastewater, and slashes chemical usage by 30%.
Equipped with Alchemie’s digital non-contact jet dye applicator featuring Jetronica nozzles, Discovery claims to streamline dye recipe-to-production, bypassing traditional lab dip processes for rapid colour-matching.
With a precise 10-micron droplet control, delivering 20,000,000 drops onto A5-sized fabric swatches, Discovery promises “unparalleled accuracy and precision.”
The system is said to facilitate the creation of a colour recipe library, for designers to explore new effects and aid the textile industry in reaching its ESG targets.
Alchemie notes that textile dyeing and finishing currently contribute to 3% of global CO2 emissions, a figure predicted to soar to 10% by 2050 and adds that it stands as the second-largest source of global industrial wastewater pollution, directly impacting millions.
Alan Hudd, CEO and founder of Alchemie Technology commented: "Our Discovery lab system represents a significant leap forward in our mission to revolutionise the textile industry, providing customers with a high level of confidence to move to a clean-tech dyeing process.
“It not only provides a hands-on understanding of our Endeavour digital dyeing technology but also offers unprecedented efficiency in the research process, saving time and resources."
In conjunction with the Discovery launch, Alchemie Technology introduced the exclusive Pioneer Club, offering early adopters a chance to evaluate the technology ahead of the curve.
Limited to the first 25 special edition Discovery systems, Pioneer Club members will gain insights into Alchemie’s innovative production digital dyeing technology and enjoy perks such as free on-site installation, priority access to upgrades, and an exclusive invitation to a Pioneer Workshop in Cambridge or Taiwan.
Additionally, members will receive a free early production trial to validate their experience with Discovery and priority invitations to Endeavour’s global production launch in April in Taiwan.
Hudd added: "Our Pioneer Club is a testament to our commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in the textile industry. This exclusive offer is strictly limited to 25 Discovery systems, making it a rare opportunity for those seeking to be at the forefront of digital dyeing innovation.”
