The Association of Textile Manufacturers of Ecuador (AITE) explained that the project was revived after being on call for over three years due to the global pandemic.

The association leveraged Tengiva's digital expertise to onboard and set up AITE members' product data into a new system while also digitising the products and integrating them into their current operations, further optimising internal operations.

AITE President Camilo F. Ontaneda Pinto said: "It took us three years to find the right solution, and Tengiva's all-encompassing service has been a game changer for supporting our clients through their digital transformation. It's not just their technology that makes the difference — it’s the exceptional service that comes with it which ensures a personalised onboarding for our members."

The Association added that as a result of this digital transformation, AITE members now showcase their products on a B2B digital textile marketplace.

AITE believes this innovative platform unites all suppliers in a single transactional digital space, enabling Ecuadorian textile suppliers to access global markets, engage with buyers and business partners, and expand their presence and visibility in an increasingly digital world.

According to Tengiva co-founder and COO, Carlos Agudelo, Ecuador's push for innovation is making a difference in the textile industry, noting that this is a key moment in the digital transformation of Ecuadorian textiles.

Agudelo stated: "By adopting new technology, AITE is helping its members adapt and prepare for a future where going digital is essential for success."

Last year, fashion giant H&M shared its ambitions to enter the Brazilian market in 2025 and expand its presence in Latin America by establishing physical stores and an online platform throughout the country.
