Fashion lifestyle brand White Stuff has named Jo Jenkins, director of clothing and beauty at Marks & Spencer, as its new CEO, replacing Jeremy Seigal.
Jenkins, who will join White Stuff by the spring of next year at the latest, has held senior executive roles at both Next and M&S, where she currently sits on the operating committee.
White Stuff chairman Debbie Hewitt describes Jenkins as a talented retailer “who brings great customer insight, relevant product knowledge and strong store operations experience and she has a track record of developing effective supply chain relationships. She is recognised for leading with a strong brand vision and for bringing a positive customer ethos to the core of the businesses that she has worked with.
Hewitt adds Jenkins’ experience will help White Stuff boost its brand credentials and develop the business into new areas.
An M&S spokesperson added: “We’re delighted for Jo – she’s been a real talent here at M&S, which is reflected in the progress she has made both professionally and for the business. Becoming CEO at a company like White Stuff is a natural next step for her. We wish her all the very best with her new role.”
The appointment follows an announcement earlier this year that Seigal is retiring from White Stuff after nearly five years at the helm.
