Financial details regarding the transaction remain undisclosed.

Both Tonello and Flainox share a mutual commitment to promoting efficient and sustainable technologies alongside a dedication to “Made in Italy” manufacturing principles.

Tonello R&D and marketing director Alice Tonello said: “Integrating Flainox means strengthening our market presence. This step allows us to consolidate our leadership by expanding our product range and ensuring greater global reach.”

The Tonello group’s acquisition of Flainox also underscores its ongoing dedication to innovating in the realm of finishing machinery, particularly with an emphasis on sustainable practices.

Tonello is recognised for its advanced technologies, which include ozone treatment, laser applications, and Wake, a fully organic dyeing system.

Located in Quaregna Cerreto, which is in the Italian province of Biella, Flainox brings a five-decade legacy in the realm of dyeing machinery manufacturing. It has already established itself as a key player in producing rotary machines and yarn dyeing equipment.

The firm is known for developing efficient plants that minimise environmental impact, catering to the dyeing needs of garments, seamless textiles, hosiery, socks and yarns.

Notably, Flainox’s green machinery incorporates ultrasound technologies designed to lower carbon emissions while using reduced quantities of water and chemicals.

Post acquisition, the company will maintain its brand identity while collaborating closely with the Tonello team.

“This acquisition is a pivotal step in our growth journey. Partnering with Flainox allows us to bring a strong, innovative group to the global market while staying deeply connected to tradition and our roots,” said Carlo Bonetti, Tonello president.

In October last year, Tonello collaborated with Kingpins and US denim specialist Cone Denim to launch the “One Denim” collection. This innovative project aimed to reduce waste by offering 10 versatile silhouettes crafted from a single sustainable fabric.
