Organised by Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings, Techtextil India expects to welcome more than 200 apparel brands and specialist product producers as well as more than 160 industry players for an exhibition and line-up of live demonstrations.
The Indian technical textiles market is said to be the fifth largest in the world, with a total market valued at nearly $22bn. The Indian government aspires to take this to $40bn within the next four to five years, with the country taking a lead in R&D for application and machinery development.
The three-day event will take place in the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, showcasing technical textile machinery, equipment and accessories. Exhibitors include manufacturers, dealers and suppliers.
Both Indian and international companies are expected to be present, with brands from China, Taiwan, South Korea, Germany, Italy and the US also attending.
Two days of talks will also be included at the event, with the first day dedicated to geotextiles and India’s infrastructure and the second focused on medical textiles. A dedication pavilion, available throughout, will also explore medical textiles.
Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings executive director and board member Raj Manek says: “Techtextil India has acquired its name globally in this niche industry. I am proud to say that the show has become a robust platform to discover, source and launch new products in the industry while building business and network.
