Sae-A Group has joined FSC’s global initiative which encourages fashion leaders to support sustainable forest management.
As a voluntary participant, Sae-A Trading joins the industry-wide effort to help protect forests and promote responsible material-sourcing practices.
The Fashion Forever Green Pact encourages apparel companies that use materials such as wood and rubber to actively switch to FSC-certified materials sourced from sustainable forests for regenerated fibres, such as rayon, modal, and lyocell.
FSC-certified products indicate that the forest resources used have been responsibly sourced, making FSC-labelled products a reliable choice for protecting the world’s forests.
As part of the Pact, Sae-A Trading aims to scale up its use of FSC-certified regenerated fibres, including modal and viscose, across its core production lines.
By overseeing every stage of its supply chain — from yarn production to final product delivery — the company pointed out it is positioned to lead sustainable material adoption across the industry.

By GlobalDataThe company shared it is poised to meet the needs of global brands and buyers who require the sustainability of the products they purchase to be verified.
Sae-A Trading vice president Saila Kim highlighted the limited adoption of FSC-certified fibres within domestic manufacturing and underscored the need for broader industry acceptance.
“Using FSC-certified products goes beyond simply sourcing sustainable materials; it plays a critical role in preventing deforestation and protecting biodiversity,” said Kim. “As part of our ESG management efforts, Sae-A Trading is committed to actively utilising these certified products to enhance sustainability within the fashion industry and contribute to ecosystem preservation.”
Sae-A Trading added that through these initiatives, it plans to combat deforestation, which it noted is threatening biodiversity and the livelihoods of indigenous forest communities.
Moreover, the company reiterated its commitment to building an eco-friendly value chain while focusing on the production of organic and recycled certified products, stating that it continues to evolve as a leader in environmental protection and social responsibility, going beyond mere profit generation.
Recently, Sae-A tripled its production volume and widened the range of yarns it can produce with the completion of its third spinning mill in Costa Rica.
