Mango has announced the opening of its first West Houston, Texas store following its success in New York and Miami and hopes to open six additional Texas stores in the coming months as part of its US expansion strategy.
In May, Mango announced it plan to open over 15 new stores throughout the US in 2023, and the retailer has its sights set on having 40 in the country by 2024 as part of its wider goal of making it a key market in the coming years.
Its plan to open around 15 new stores in 2023 is focused on the American west and south and will include shopping malls such as The Shops at La Cantera (San Antonio), North Star Mall (San Antonio), Galleria Dallas (Dallas), La Plaza Mall (McAllen), Stonebriar Centre (Frisco) and Baybrook Mall (Houston).
Mango’s director of expansion and franchises, Daniel López says: “After the excellent reception of Mango in New York and Miami, we are very excited to bring the brand experience physically for the first time in Texas, where we have an ambitious development plan for the coming months in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and McAllen.”
The first Texas store is based in Memorial City Mall and has a selling space of over 350m2. It will exclusively stock the Woman line and will feature a Mediterranean-inspired store concept.
Mango is also set to mark its arrival in Atlanta, Georgia for the first time, with a store in the state’s second-largest shopping centre, the Perimeter Mall.
