Aware’s technology aims to provide companies, such as Gemline, with a credible means to validate their environmental claims through a digital product passport grounded in primary data.
The initial implementation of Aware’s technology will be showcased through a collection developed in collaboration with MiiR, a B-Corp and Climate Neutral certified company.
Launching in August, Gemline’s MiiR Olympus 2.0 collection in collaboration with Aware features six bag modern styles, each embodying transparency, quality, and sustainable attributes.
Frank Carpenito, president and CEO of Gemline, expresses the significance of this partnership, stating: “The utilisation of Aware’s state-of-the-art technology represents an advancement in enhancing textile transparency within our supply chain and sets a new precedent in the US.”
Carpenito explained the company’s role in introducing this technology to the market and how it reinforces Gemline’s commitment to positive environmental and social impact.
Aware’s technology stands as an innovation that it calls a phygital (physical + digital) traceability solution grounded in primary data from manufacturers.
