Eurofins CPA‘s new Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) affiliate membership means it sits alongside more than 280 industry stakeholders united in their commitment to drive progress and create positive change within the apparel sector.

In 2021, Eurofins CPA was approved as a Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM) Verifier Body, a critical tool within the Higg Index suite used to measure facilities’ environmental performance. Building on this achievement, Eurofins CPA subsequently obtained accreditation as a Higg FEM Trainer Body later that year.

Eurofins CPA hopes its new SAC membership will provide wider collaboration opportunities that will help accelerate the industry’s commitment to sustainability.

The SAC is an independent organisation that aims to foster a shared vision of sustainability and implements a comprehensive approach to measuring, evaluating, and improving performance. It has members across the apparel, footwear, and textile industries, but operates independently of any single company to drive progress from its members, which include global brands, retailers, manufacturers, NGOs, academics, and industry associations.

The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) said collective action is the only way to a responsible industry, as it provided updates in its annual report on its initiatives including the Higg Index and Transparency Tool.
