
The strategic move will affect DyStar Hilton Davis’s operations, where the focus has been on producing food, drug, and cosmetic dyes (FD&C), drug and cosmetic dyes (D&C), lakes, technical dyes, and pigment dispersions.
In line with the company’s strategy to streamline and enhance their manufacturing presence in the Americas, production at this facility is scheduled to halt on 30 June.
Upon completion of this phase of the group’s consolidation strategy, DyStar’s operations within the Americas will primarily be conducted from its facilities in Reidsville, North Carolina, and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
DyStar Group managing director and president Xu Yalin said: “We believe that the success of the strategic plan will position DyStar to decisively respond to the fundamental changes taking place in the industry and enables us to improve profitability while maintaining strategic product development capability, and to accelerate growth over the long-term.”
In relation to the closure, DyStar will co-operate with all relevant parties including employees, customers, suppliers, and partners to mitigate any adverse effects on business activities and facilitate a seamless global transition.
The company pledges to honour all commitments with integrity and in accordance with company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and legal mandates.

The company aims to minimise disruption to business operations and guarantees continued supply of FD&C and D&C dyes, lakes, technical dyes and pigment dispersions from other sites in its global network without compromising on quality or sustainability.

The company maintains a global workforce exceeding 1,500 personnel, distributed over 50 nations, and manages 13 production facilities.
