The DVF partnership leverages Lenzing‘s Tencel Lyocell and Ecovero fibres made from sustainably managed wood sources and produced with significantly lower environmental impact in terms of carbon emissions and water consumption.
DVF hopes to incorporate resource-efficient fibres into its flagship collection of everyday fashion items and selected accessories.
Lenzing’s Tencel and Ecovero branded fibres claim to be made with 50% less carbon emission, and water consumption and are certified with the EU Ecolabel for environmental excellence.
By leveraging the low environmental impact of the fibres, the collaboration aims to help elevate DVF’s design aesthetic and its vision for a more sustainable fashion industry aligns with Lenzing’s commitment or revolutionising the textile industry with fibre solutions.
“By integrating Lenzing’s signature speciality fibres into our designs, we are taking a significant step towards driving meaningful change and inspiring a shift towards conscious fashion choices,” said Jessie Chen, DVF’s global strategic partner and CEO of Greater China.
Since January 2024, Tencel and Lenzing Ecovero fibres have already been featured across various DVF garment collections, particularly in the “Festival of Color” Summer 2024 line inspired by cultural celebrations worldwide.
