This year’s digital edition of the Copenhagen Fashion Summit, CFS+, will feature an entirely new line-up of voices that have never taken part in the event before, each addressing the theme ‘Prosperity vs. Growth’.
The theme is an evolution of last year’s focus, ‘Redesigning Value’, and will challenge the current fashion system even further by addressing a range of adjacent topics to foster constructive tension and dialogues that drive bold action, says organisers Global Fashion Agenda.
“This year we will address how the industry can thrive whilst creating prosperity for people and communities. We want to challenge the prevailing definition of growth and find a way for fashion to work within planetary boundaries, reverse its impact on climate change, and protect biodiversity,” Morten Lehmann, chief sustainability officer, Global Fashion Agenda, says.
CFS+ will take place on 7-8 October and will be presented via an all-in-one online platform, offering participants a hybrid of pre-produced content and live sessions. Meanwhile, unique networking functions such as automatic ‘meeting roulettes’, and one-to-one meeting and messaging functions will enable industry players to connect directly with one another to discuss key industry topics, share knowledge and drive necessary action.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the digital Innovation Forum, in which they can connect and meet with more than 40 solution providers that can support brands in their journey towards increased sustainability performance.
The digital experience of CFS+ was first launched in 2020 amidst the challenges imposed by Covid-19.
“The digital format of CFS+ allows us to reach the industry across the globe and I am certain that the varied content and networking features will offer unrivalled insights into the issues our industry faces and the necessary solutions needed to drive urgent action,” Lehmann adds.
