One of the key enhancements in Higg FEM 2024 is the integration with Worldly’s Facility Data Manager (FDM), which allows facilities to track and report environmental metrics on a monthly basis.
The FDM can also import that data into the Higg FEM tool on Worldly’s platform.
The latest version streamlines the data collection process, reducing the time spent on the annual Higg FEM assessment and minimising administrative burdens for manufacturers.
In addition, it expands the scope of verification to now include waste impact metrics alongside the existing categories of energy, greenhouse gas (GHG), water, wastewater, and air emissions.

For over a decade, the Higg FEM tool has played a vital role in sustainability evaluations within the consumer goods industry. It has helped users improve their environmental management practices, ensure compliance with regulations, manage risks, and track progress toward sustainability goals.
Currently used by over 20,000 companies, the tool forms part of the Higg Index suite, developed by Cascale and hosted on Worldly’s platform.
The development of Higg FEM 2024 involved extensive collaboration with Cascale consulting over 85 brand and manufacturer members through 17 consultation sessions in 2024.
