A t-shirt made from Spinnova fibre is the second product to emerge from Spinnova and Jack & Jones’ joint development partnership.

Comprising a blend of 30% wood-based Spinnova fibre, 45% cotton, 20% organic cotton, and 5% elastane, the t-shirt available in bright white, buttercream and black follows the successful launch of Jack & Jones men’s trousers crafted from Spinnova fibre and cotton in October 2022.

The Bestseller brand’s t-shirt represents a significant milestone as the first commercially available product to feature fibre from Spinnova and Suzano’s joint venture, Woodspin’s facility, which commenced operations in 2023.

The Spinnova fibre used in the t-shirt is sourced from certified wood pulp originating from Scandinavia, and processed through Spinnova’s technology. This release marks the largest production volume of a commercially available Spinnova product to date.

Commenting on the collaboration, Tuomas Oijala, CEO of Spinnova said: “We’re delighted to continue our close collaboration with Bestseller and do our part to help them bring to life their strong sustainability strategy. In March, Spinnova and strategic partner Suzano signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for Spinnova and its partners to supply fibre production technology to Suzano and open a new production facility.
