The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.04% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.38% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 2.29% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 60.02% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s apparel industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Walmart posted 308 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a drop of 6.38% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 253 jobs and a 79.84% drop. Publix Super Markets with 40 IT jobs and BPS Direct with 33 jobs, recorded a 60% growth and a 32% growth, respectively, while Target recorded a flat growth with 32 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50.12%, down by 61.73% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 28.72% share, registered a decline of 56.91% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 21.16% share, down 62.16% over October 2022.
