November 2022 has seen a decrease of 1.96% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 7.42% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 3.82% over the last three-month average share.

Computer and Information Analysts Occupations leads by classification in November 2022

Computer and Information Analysts Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 47.83% in November 2022, a 37.5% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 43.48% in November 2022, marking an 81.13% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 4.35% in November 2022, a flat growth from October 2022.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 4.35% in November 2022, a 93.33% decline over the previous month.

Top five apparel companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average flat growth in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s apparel industry during November 2022 over previous month.

Inter IKEA Holding posted 11 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 9 jobs and an 83.02% drop. Carrefour with 2 IT jobs and adidas with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and an 80% drop, respectively, while recorded a flat growth with job postings during November 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s apparel industry

Chile commanded a leading presence in the region’s apparel industry IT hiring activity with a 47.83% share in November 2022, a 1000% increase over October 2022. Brazil featured next with a 34.78% share, down 82.61% over the previous month. Haiti recorded an 8.7% share, a flat growth compared with October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.26%, down by 69.49% from October 2022. Entry Level positions with a 17.39% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4.35% share, down 92.31% over October 2022.
