One of the key issues facing Colombia’s textile and clothing sector is the imminent end of the Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act, which gives preferential trade terms on exports to the US. But even though Colombian clothing exports to the US tumbled by 25% in the first two months of 2006, Jozef De Coster finds the industry in an optimistic mood.
