By GlobalDataThe collaboration between the two businesses began in 2013, with the latest stage set to help Brandix transform its processes by leveraging Accenture’s global expertise in data science, analytics, consulting, strategy and operations. It is aimed at enhancing the company’s top-line growth and bottom-line savings in the next six years.
“I’m confident that this collaboration will help us achieve new avenues of growth not only in Sri Lanka but at the global scale,” says Ashroff Omar, Brandix Group CEO. “This is in line with our overall strategic decision to develop the apparel ecosystem and create a future-ready, global organisation for the digital era.”
Anindya Basu, geographic unit and country senior managing director for Accenture in India, adds: “The retail industry is being redefined globally by consumer expectations, digital technologies and transformative business models. To create value in this highly competitive environment, apparel manufacturers need to embed technology-led innovation not only at the edges of systems but also within their core processes.”
Brandix operates a vertically integrated supply chain with 42 apparel manufacturing units in Sri Lanka and is the single largest employer in the country’s export sector. It also has apparel production units in India, Bangladesh, Haiti and Cambodia, and specialises in casualwear, intimatewear, sleep and loungewear, and activewear.
Earlier this year it implemented a new PLM system to help improve processes, products and decision-making ahead of aggressive growth planned for its business.
