The Jeanologia NextGen Summit took place at the company’s Valencia headquarters as well as other significant Spanish textile hubs.

The summit aimed to inspire and equip the next wave of denim industry leaders from family-run enterprises with tools to address forthcoming challenges through sustainable, technological and collaborative approaches.

The programme featured a mix of formats to enhance learning and interaction. It included inspirational talks by industry veterans sharing insights and visions, particularly on passing the baton to new generations; workshops on innovative responses to industry issues; and open debates promoting sector-wide dialogue.

A highlight of the event was progressive vision shared by Levi’s innovation head Bart Sights.

Participants also visited Spanish fashion brand Mango’s headquarters. The company’s sustainability and sourcing head Andrés Fernández discussed Mango’s sustainability goals, which sparked valuable dialogue.

The summit fostered collaboration, helping young leaders to establish relationships and work towards a more accountable and efficient industry model. The community established aims to maintain connections and share ideas post-summit, supporting Jeanologia’s goal for a collaborative textile ecosystem.

Pepa Silla, who represents the young leadership guiding Jeanologia’s vision toward a more innovative and sustainable model, said: “The NextGen Summit is just the beginning of a global movement. We have built a community where the next generation openly share challenges and solutions, motivating each other to accelerate change in a disruptive, responsible, and collaborative way. Now, it is up to us to take on the challenge of transforming the industry with a new mindset, new ways of working, and a commitment to a better future.”

Founded in 1994, Jeanologia has been focusing on transforming the textile industry through sustainable, ethical, and efficient solutions like laser technology, G2 ozone, Dancing Box, e-flow, H2Zero, and ColorBox.

Looking forward, the company remains dedicated to an eco-efficient, chemical-free textile future, urging industry stakeholders to embrace its Mission Zero initiative to eliminate water and toxic chemicals from garment finishing worldwide.

In September last year, Jeanologia joined the Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) and the H&M Foundation which are spearheading a project that aims to create a dynamic hub for the entire textile value chain and drive innovations to tackle the challenges of climate change.
