Safe Edge+ builds on Archroma’s existing regulatory platform, The Safe Edge, which launched in 2021. The platform allows industry stakeholders to verify the regulatory status of Archroma’s products through an online tool, which provides ecotoxicological information and certifications.

The new Safe Edge+ initiative integrates this platform with Foundation+, a portfolio of products developed using innovative technologies designed to reduce hazardous or regulated substances by more than 95%, compared to industry standards.

It offers safer and more sustainable alternatives that help manufacturers, brands and retailers stay ahead of evolving regulations.

“Safe Edge+ is our commitment to supporting the value chain in the challenging and evolving regulatory and compliance space of textile dyes and chemicals,” said Erwin Lucic, head of integrated quality and product stewardship at Archroma. “Safe Edge+ is our way of helping the value chain navigate the challenges of evolving regulations in textile dyes and chemicals.”

Paul Cowell, Archroma’s vice president of innovation, marketing, brand engagement, and sustainability, noted: “At Archroma, we take a proactive approach to develop products with cleaner chemistries that outperform what is currently available and do more than is currently required. In this way, we anticipate future restrictions and ensure Archroma’s products are always compliant with upcoming environmental standards – smoothing the way for our customers.”

Safe Edge+ is a key component of Archroma’s “Planet Concious+” vision, which focuses on sustainability and safety in the textile industry. The initiative aligns with Archroma’s wider portfolio, including Super Systems+, a suite of fibre-specific solutions, and One Way+, a sustainability impact calculator aimed at improving sustainable practices across the industry.
