FLA and Global Fashion Agenda (GFA) have renewed their agreement to collaborate on GFA’s target consultations and reporting related to better wage systems, which is one of the five priorities listed in the Fashion CEO Agenda that aims to guide fashion leaders on future-proofing their companies.
This latest initiative promotes fair compensation, living wages, worker access to collective bargaining, pay equity, and closing the gender pay gap.
As an impact partner to GFA, FLA will continue to provide expertise and industry insights on how fashion companies are scaling their fair compensation programmes, including wage measurement, transparency, remediation, and benchmarking progress towards living wages.
GFA’s platform amplifies FLA’s commitment to encouraging companies to invest in people through their supply chains and purchasing practices.
“Workers in global supply chains often don’t earn enough to meet their basic needs,” said FLA president and CEO Jeff Vockrodt. “By helping companies collect wage data, compare it with living wage benchmarks, and develop and implement fair compensation strategies, FLA is making a concrete difference in the lives of workers worldwide.”
Federica Marchionni, CEO of GFA commented: “Global Fashion Agenda is glad to continue our impact partnership with the Fair Labor Association on better wage systems.
