The textile-to-textile venture by RE&UP is described as a “feedstock agnostic” which can create next-gen cotton and polyester that has a performance on par with virgin materials, strong fibre length, full decolourisation, 85% reduced water usage and CO2 emissions.
The company explains all of this has immediate applicability for yarns, fabrics and garments today and at scale.

The circulartech company shared its innovative solutions, its ecosystem of recycling cotton, polyester and polycotton and its collaborative approach to a more sustainable and circular future for fashion and textiles at the Global Fashion Summit, which took place in Copenhagen on 21-23 May.
RE&UP’s chairman Fatih Konukoglu took part in a fireside chat titled ‘Future Fibers: Enabling the Circular Model‘ and its chief sustainability officer Ebru Ozkucuk Guler sat on the ‘Unlocking Global Collaboration’ panel.
