The renamed Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris event will include Avantex and Leatherworld and is set to be the same size as the recent Texworld Evolution Paris event but will offer a more selective range of products to reflect the convergence between textiles and finished products.
It will take place on 1 to 3 July 2024 at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and the organisers are keen to to note it will not clash with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which open three weeks later on 26 July.
The recent Texworld Evolution Paris event, which took place on 5 to 7 February featured 1,300 weaving and clothing companies from 25 countries across two levels, however the organisers noted the ongoing trend for European nearshoring.
The organisers said the show’s “unprecedented concentration” of international companies in Europe exceeded that before the pandemic and acted as a reminder of the central role of European markets for the global fashion industry.
The organisers added: “This position is confirmed by the weight of buyers from the Euromed zone in the visitor structure: Top five is concentrated around buyers from France (20%), the UK (8.3%), Italy (7.9%), Türkiye (7.2%) and Spain (6.8%).
Messe Frankfurt France president Frédéric Bougeard said: “Despite the slowdown in the clothing market, Europe remains a major market for textile and finished goods manufacturers. For some players, it is becoming a strategic market to offset the uncertainties weighing on the Russian and American markets.”

The February show featured nine Ukrainian companies grouped together under the banner of the Ukrainian Association of Textile and Leather Industry Companies (Ukrlegprom). It also included Bulgarian, Italian and Dutch companies taking advantage of the show’s visibility to include their expertise in the sourcing plans of French and European buyers.
“We want to build on these initiatives and we’ll be putting forward proposals at our next shows, but also, why not, in different formats,” added Frédéric Bougeard.
Exhibitors used the show to reveal their newest products. For example, Chinese performance fabrics manufacturer, Oracle Textile Technology, highlighted the new colour and appearance ranges of its nylon spandex and seamless fabrics used for its down jackets and outdoor clothing collections.
Indian womenswear manufacturer BP Impex said: “The show is an
opportunity for us to meet the French, English, Dutch and Spanish brands and distributors with whom we generate a significant proportion of our sales. Buyers come to the stand with drawings and ideas, and we start working on collections that will be delivered 120 days later.”
