The collection, which Recover explained is the result of a collaborative project between the three companies, aims to inspire and bring value to the industry by creating truly circular products through a process that implements eco-design, transparency, process measurement, traceability, and scalability.
The GRS-certified Reiconics collection is made from Recover recycled cotton fibre and Spanish cotton.
It includes a range of premium denim fabrics developed by Evlox and a total of 14 final garments that will be exhibited at Denim Première Vision in Milan from 23 to 24 November.
Recover highlighted how each piece in the collection displays a variety of finishes generated using technology by Jeanologia and boasts of reducing water and energy consumption, as well as eliminating damaging emissions and discharge.
In fact, the material science company added that just one jacket in the Reiconics collection, using 32% Recover recycled fibre and Jeanologia finishing technology, saves up to 760 litres of water compared to a jacket made with virgin cotton and treated with traditional finishing techniques.
Alfredo Ferre, CEO at Recover, believes that together the three companies are offering brands a pathway to reduce their environmental impact caused by raw material production and waste.

This collaboration is a product of a multi-year agreement between Evlox and Recover where Evlox committed to purchasing Recover’s recycled cotton fibre to promote innovative technologies that will help move towards a circular textiles industry.
‘Recycled’ becomes industry buzzword
The fashion apparel industry, historically criticised for its significant environmental footprint, has been increasingly turning towards recycled materials as a strategy to mitigate its impact on the planet.
This shift reflects a growing awareness within the industry and consumers as is evident from apparel company filings data shared by GlobalData.
According to the data analytics company, the mentions of keyword ‘recycled’ boomed from just 67 in November 2018 to 1,301 in November 2019. However, it peaked in November 2021 with a total of 3,147 mentions.
‘Recycled’ continues to be a showstopper in 2023 with 2,305 mentions, followed by polyester and cotton, 387 and 319 respectively.
