Effective from 2 October 2023 Claes’ new role at VF Corporation follows Stuart Pond, who previous held the role, taking on the position of vice president of global supply chain platforms.
In her new position, Claes will also become a member of VF’s European senior leadership team, representing all aspects of the supply chain matrix.
Her responsibilities will encompass delivering “operational excellence” while ensuring the supply chain continues to adapt to the evolving marketplace, respond to changing consumer needs, and leverage best practices across brands and functional areas, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Claes who boasts a career in the supply chain sector, will report directly to Cameron Bailey, executive vice president of the global supply chain.
Bailey said: “Her 24 years of supply chain experience coupled with her industry knowledge makes her the ideal person to lead this work. At the same time, Stuart joining the global supply chain team will help VF streamline and enhance our work supporting our brands and delivering to our consumers.”
Claes has extensive experience in logistics, planning, and sourcing, having worked with global companies such as beauty company Johnson & Johnson and US sports giant NIKE.
