November 2022 has seen a decrease of 12.14% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.21% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2022, registering a decrease of 1.07% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 50.25% in November 2022, a 59.92% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 18.34% in November 2022, marking a 52.6% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 12.56% in November 2022, a 2.04% rise from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 72.73% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s apparel industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Inter IKEA Holding posted 124 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 63.16% over the previous month, followed by X5 Retail Group with 37 jobs and a 54.17% growth. J Sainsbury with 31 IT jobs and Schwarz Unternehmenskommunikation GmbHKG with 28 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 55.56% rise, respectively, while Zalando recorded an 8% increase with 27 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s apparel industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s apparel industry IT hiring activity with a 24.37% share in November 2022, a 47.85% decrease over October 2022. The UK featured next with a 19.1% share, down 59.57% over the previous month. Sweden recorded a 12.31% share, a growth of 2.08% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.36%, down by 50.34% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.34% share, registered a decline of 57.06% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.05% share, down 56.63% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.25%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
